For a few years now I’ve been collecting snake accessories: a simple gold necklace I affectionately called “My Evil” that I bought in college, a murano glass snake pendant from my trip to Venice, green and black snake inspired pointy flats I discovered at a sample sale…

There’s just something so deliciously devilish about wearing snake prints.

If there’s one thing I l-o-v-e, it’s a good old-fashioned Gossip Girl episode.

The clothes, the hair, the shoes, oh my! And the drama… (Who can resist Blair and Chuck??) I mean really.

So glad my friend showed me this fun blog, Gossip Girl Fashion. What more could a girl ask for?

I hesitate to invoke Rachel Zoe, but… I DIE.

From Derek Blasberg’s LFW Best Dressed List.
Loving the return of 40s Hollywood Glamour! Ahhhh my dreams are coming true.

I don’t think I need to convince you that Rodarte’s S/S2012 collection is literally out-of-this-world! Like Narnian Queens, the Rodarte women were strong, beautiful, fierce, and had an intangible, otherworldly look to them.

The collection seamlessly transitioned between structural, geometric street-armor and free-wheeling fit-for-a-princess creations.

Came across some seriously cool chicks with badass style. Above: Native Fox. Below: Pink Horror Show.

From San Diego to New York, stylish women bring inspiration and beauty into this world every day through blogging. They’re exposing themselves in a powerful way.
I just returned from an awesome panel on Social Media + Fashion for Social Media Week, and it made me want to spread the love and share a couple amazing blogs I discovered this week.

What says “Fall” better than a closed toe, preppy pump?
It may be 72 today, but these shoes have me pining for chunky knits, desert tones, fall fashion, Gossip Girl, Bates Nut Farm, pumpkin patches… and overall a renewed commitment to goals.
They talk about Spring awakenings, but Fall is when we get back to basics after a summer of flings with everything from unkempt hair to an unchecked diet.
You never know where a shoe can take you…

Is it too LA-cliche that I attended an Emmy-watching party last night? Even so, I had so much fun!
My favorite looks from last night:
#1 Gwyneth in Pucci
Also: Sarah Hyland and Heidi Klum in Christian Siriano, Sophia Vergara in Vera Wang.

Let’s be clear about this from the beginning: if there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s people who hate Gwyneth Paltrow. How could you hate her? Because she’s smart and funny and pretty and well-dressed and just generally fabulous in every sense of the word? Well, come on, now. That’s not nice! Where’s your generosity? And to the people who say she “acts superior”: she is. She is totally, 100%, superior.
She’s given me many a gift, from the excellent and somewhat underground travel show “On the Road” (Paltrow, Batali, Bittman - what else do you need?) to her hilariously off the wall Mary Todd Lincoln impression.
Perhaps the best thing, however, is this wonderful recipe for meatballs from GOOP. Now, I love a good plate of spaghetti and meatballs as much as the next lady and the tramp, but they can be big, heavy, fatty things. Not these. Light, herbal, lemon-y. It’s hard to even call them an indulgence.

As I was thumbing through my Style.com app last night devouring all the S/S12 shows (they are fabulous!) all I chould think was sportswear, sportswear, sportswear!
Whether pronounced (Rag & Bone, Helmut Lang, Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Marc by Marc Jacobs) or subtle (Prabal Gurung, Nanette Lepore, Narcisco Rodriguez), spring shouts, “Get Into Gear!” and “Game On!”

Even more refined, feminine collections were sporty, as if to say “I’m still a bit of a tomboy!”

This California girl says, Bring it on.
