Ocean Drive

I don’t know if you’re a-w-a-r-e, or anything, but there’s a rather major wedding event happening today. My sincerest cheers go to Kate and William today (and Sarah Burton - perfect). While the good ol’ US of A doesn’t have a monarchy, we do have Jackie and John F. Kennedy. 

The JFK Library, which actually has some wonderful social media projects, posted several photos from JBK and JFK’s wedding, including the one above, which I have never seen. You can check them out here.

Fun fact:  Jackie hated her wedding dress. Her mother, Janet Auchincloss, insisted on it. I doubt our fair bride today felt the same way!

I have been a loyal mac devotee ever since my FCP video editing days began at CHS. I own an unwaveringly resilient (read: dropped multiple times) macbook pro for personal use, and I work off the new macbook pro for my job at BeachMint. 

A “study” came out that confirms my boyfriend’s view of mac users; they’re all hipsters. (Ha!) Between good-natured “Mac vs PC” debates around the BeachMint office, and with my boyfriend, I found this comparison interesting and amusing. 

Apparently I should pickup a San Pellegrino Liomata, because I’m sure to love it.

The idea for this blog is pretty simple:  we’re two old friends who love fashion and cocktails (gin, preferably) and food. We love to read and put on make-up and watch old movies. We love to write and we love to work.

And we love where we live:  Boston and LA. We wanted a space to share and celebrate the things that inspire us daily from both our coasts. And what better way to celebrate the launch of this bi-costal, extravaganza than a classic champagne cocktail?
